How do I create a package label?

With package labels, you can provide individual packages with a barcode label. This is used, among other things, when packages need to be scanned in a shop or when you create crate cards for use in EPS folding crates.

Follow the steps below to create a package label in Agromanager.

Step 1 – Open Configuration

First open the Sorting and packaging tile. Within this tile, you will find all functionalities related to sorting, stock and deliveries.

On the left-hand side of the screen, you will find several items, including Configuration.
Click Configuration to open the available options. Several sections will appear underneath, including Package labels.

Step 2 – Create a new package label

When you open the package label overview, you will see the New label button in the top-right corner.

Click New label to go to the layout page.

  1. Set the label dimensions

On the editing page, start by setting the label dimensions.

At a minimum, enter the following values:

    • Label height

    • Label width

Once these basic dimensions have been set correctly, you can start designing the label.

  2. Design the label

After setting the dimensions, you can continue designing the label. You can add different elements depending on the information you want to display on the label, such as:

    • Barcode (EAN, GS1, internal number, …)

    • Product name or variety

    • GGN number

    • Lot number or batch

    • Package weight

    • Number of units per package

    • Grower information

    • Logos or pictograms

You can use various placeholders. These automatically insert data stored in your Agromanager account.

For information that is not available via placeholders, you can add a text box.

Using the image icon, you can add images such as barcodes, logos or pictograms.

On the right-hand side of the screen, you will find options to adjust the formatting of images and text boxes (position, size, alignment, etc.).

Is the layout exactly as you want it? Close the editing window using the cross in the top-right corner to save the changes.

  3. Save and use the label

After closing the editor, you will be taken to the details screen of the label.
Here you link the package label to one or more products.

When registering a pallet in the production screen, a print preview of the pallet label appears first.
After printing, a preview of the package labels automatically follows.
The number of labels to be printed is determined by the number of packages you register in the production screen.

Finally, click Save. Your package label will now appear in the overview of all package labels.
