How do I update my certification? (V8)

This article continues from the steps after you have completed the questions and explains how you can easily update your certificate.

Step 1 - Open the Certification module

On the homepage of your environment, click Modules on the left-hand side. The different modules will then appear as green tiles. Click the Certification tile.

Step 2 - Update the checklist

To update the checklist, go to the desired certificate. By clicking the orange Edit button next to one of the control points, you can go through the complete questionnaire again.

Each saved answer is valid for 300 days. Once this period has expired, an orange Reuse button appears at the bottom under History, next to the most recent answer.

If no supporting documents were uploaded for a control point in the previous year, you can use the orange Reuse button to reuse last year's answer (yes, no or not applicable). In the Answer column, you will see that the ‘Valid until’ and ‘Last modified on’ fields are automatically updated. If you then click Save, the answer is saved again and will be valid for another 300 days. At the bottom under History, the orange Reuse button then changes into a grey ‘Active’ button.

If supporting documents were uploaded in the previous year, these documents will open when you click the orange Reuse button.

You can then make the necessary changes to the documents. Make sure to change the upload date to today's date.
By clicking the green Reuse button, the updated document is added to the answer again. You will then automatically move to the next document (if multiple documents had been uploaded) or this screen will close (if there was only one document, or when the last document in the list has been reached). If you choose Skip, the opened document will not be saved again.

In the Answer column, you will now see that the ‘Valid until’ and ‘Last modified on’ fields have been updated and that the document has been added as supporting evidence. At the bottom under History, the orange ‘Reuse’ button has changed into a grey ‘Active’ button.

If you then click Save, the answer is saved again and will be valid for another 300 days.

If an answer has not yet expired but you already want to update it, you can open the document on the right-hand side in the Answer column, make the necessary changes, update the upload date and click Save again.

You can also choose to open a new example document, complete it and save it. You can then remove last year's document by clicking the red cross next to that document.

When you click the red cross, a pop-up appears asking whether you want to archive the supporting document. If you click Archive, the document is removed from the Answer column on the right.

However, the supporting document remains available and can still be found via the left-hand menu under Certification > Files > Supporting documents.
