Explanation of Settings 11. Timer App

On the homepage of your environment, you can click Modules on the left-hand side. The different modules will then appear as green tiles. Click the General tile.

You can now find Configuration at the bottom left.

The different settings for the "Timer App" section are described below.

  • Add default break when switching device (start new device without stopping current registration)*:

Suppose you start on device A, work there for a while and then move to another location where you start on device B, without first stopping on device A.

"Yes":
We assume that you forgot to stop on device A, but that moving to device B also took time. Therefore, your registration on device A is effectively stopped (with rounding), and your registration on device B also starts with rounding.

For example: if you stop and start at 11:43, and you use a rounding interval of 5 minutes:

  • stop on device A → 11:40

  • start on device B → 11:45

This creates a small time difference. With larger rounding intervals, that difference also becomes larger.

"No"
Here we assume that the devices are located close to each other and that you do not want a time difference. The system marks the stop on device A and the start on device B as automatic. As a result, no separate roundings are applied. Just like with crop switches, the system ensures that the start and stop connect to each other, so that no “gap” is created in the time registration.
