Choosing a label layout when creating a product

When you create a new product in the Sorting and Packing module, you can choose at the end which label layout should be used for the labels of that product.

Step 1 - Open the product overview

On the dashboard, open the Sorting and Packing tile. Then go to Sorting in the left-hand menu and open Product overview.

Here you will see an overview of all existing products.

Step 2 - Create a new product

At the top of the overview list, click New product. A new screen opens where you can enter the product details.

Fill in the necessary details, such as the customer, crop or variety, and size. In the next step, enter the packaging type, packaging, and number of boxes/storage bin.

Go through the different tabs of the product. In the last tab, you can choose the desired label layout.

This choice determines what the label will look like when labels are printed for this product.

Step 3 - Select the label layout

In the last tab, choose the layout you want to use for the product. The available examples are:

Full

Type: 100 x 100 mm

Use this layout when you want to use a full label.

Example:

Minimal

Use this layout when only the most important information needs to appear on the label.

Example:

Size and class

Type: 100 x 100 mm

Use this layout when the size and class need to be clearly shown on the label, for example in a double display.

Example:

Full Large

Format: 100 x 150 mm

Use this layout when you want a larger label with complete information. This label can be attached to the corner of a pallet or storage bin and has 2 barcodes that can be scanned.

Example:

Full Large QS

Format: 100 x 150 mm

Use this layout when you want to use a large full label with QS information.

Step 5 - Save the product

Check that all product details have been entered correctly and that the correct label layout has been selected.

Then click Save. The product is created with the selected label layout.

Important to know

The selected layout is linked to the product. When you later print labels for this product, the selected layout will be used.

Do you want to use a different layout afterwards? Reopen the product via Product overview, go to the last tab, and change the label layout.
