How do I create a harvest estimate?

Step 1 - Harvest - Open Estimate

Open the Harvest module in Agromanager. The sorted/unsorted harvest registration overview will open automatically. Click "Estimate" in the menu on the left to open the harvest estimate screen.

Step 2 - Create a new harvest estimate

To create a new harvest estimate, click the green "New Harvest Estimate" button in the top-right corner.

Next, choose whether you want to enter a harvest estimate based on tonnes per hectare (t/ha) or based on fruit counts.

Step 3 - Enter the harvest estimate details

Depending on the selected option, the following parameters must be entered:

t/ha

  • Variety: Select the variety for which you want to create the harvest estimate. The corresponding crops will be displayed based on this selection. Select the crop(s) to which the harvest estimate applies.
  • Expected total yield (t/ha): This is the expected number of tonnes of fruit you will harvest per hectare from the crops selected on the left.
  • Weight/package (kg): The expected weight in kg that will be harvested in one package (e.g. a storage bin).
  • Pick 1, 2, 3 (%): If your harvest takes place over different periods, you can enter here what percentage of the harvest will be completed during pick 1, 2 and 3.
  • Expected harvest date: Enter the expected harvest date here.
  • Expected yield: This field displays the expected yield per picking round. It is calculated automatically based on the data entered above.
Once all parameters have been entered as required, click the green Save button to save the harvest estimate.

Fruit count

  • Variety: Select the variety for which you want to create the harvest estimate. The corresponding crops will be displayed based on this selection. Select the crop(s) to which the harvest estimate applies.

Expected fruit size

  • Reference weight: Select the variety of the harvest you want to enter. A bar will then appear where you can select the diameter of one piece of fruit. Based on this diameter, an average weight per piece is estimated.
  • Average piece weight (grams): If the estimated average weight does not match the actual weight of your fruit at that diameter, you can adjust it here.

Fruit count

  • Average number of fruits per tree: When you click "Measure", you can enter how many fruits are harvested on average per tree. You can choose how many trees you want to add at once by clicking "+1 tree", "+5 trees" or "+10 trees". Adding several trees at once saves time.
  • Average picking speed (fruits/hour): Here you can enter how many fruits are picked per hour. This gives you a clear overview of how long it will take to harvest all the fruit.
