In Agromanager, you can connect various types of weather stations and sensors through the AWS Platform (Agromanager Weather Station). For more information about managing weather stations, please refer to the article below.
How do I manage my weather station in Agromanager?
Step 1 - Open AWS
Managing your weather station is done through the Agromanager Weather Station Platform (AWS). To open this platform, log in to your Agromanager environment. On the Agromanager Dashboard, you will find the Applications tile on the left. Click on it.
Next, click on the AWS application. Is the application not immediately visible? First select All Applications, then use the search bar at the top to search for AWS.
Step 2 - Add a Weather Station
After opening AWS, you will see an overview of all weather stations linked to your email address. By default, an OpenWeather weather station is already linked to your Agromanager environment. To link your Wolky Tolky weather station to Agromanager, click the green New button in the top-right corner.
Step 3 - Create a Sensor Platform - General Information
To connect the weather station, first complete the following basic information under the General section.
- Name: Name of the weather station.
- Owner Email: Your email address.
- Interval: Select 0.5 h.
- Time Zone: Select the correct time zone where the weather station is located.
- Brand: Select Wolky Tolky.
- Interface: Select Wolky Tolky (without API).
- Address (Optional): Enter the address of the weather station or company.
- Postal Code (Optional): Enter the postal code of the weather station or company.
- City (Optional): Enter the city where the weather station or company is located.
- Country (Optional): Enter the country where the weather station is located.
Once all information has been entered correctly, click the green Next button at the bottom.
Step 4 - Create a Sensor Platform - Interface
In this step, you will be asked for the Agromanager ID of your Wolky Tolky weather station. You can find the Agromanager ID in the Wolky Tolky app. After opening the app, tap the menu (three horizontal lines) in the top-left corner and select About. Here you will find the Agromanager ID of your Wolky Tolky weather station. Enter this ID in this step.
Then click Next.
Step 5 - Create a Sensor Platform - External
In this step, you will see a list of the available weather stations. Select the weather station you want to create and click Next.
Step 6 - Create a Sensor Platform - Access
Select your Agromanager environment to link your weather station. Once selected, click the green Save button in the top-right corner.
Your weather station is now linked to your Agromanager environment!
Step 7 - Link Sensors
Before weather data can be sent to Agromanager, the available sensors of the weather station must be linked to the correct reading types. To do this, click the orange Edit button in the top-right corner.
Next, click the Link Sensors tab. Here, link the correct reading type to each available sensor of your weather station. Once you have completed this, click the green Save button in the top-right corner of the screen.
It may take some time before the first data becomes visible. Please note that previously recorded weather data is not imported into Agromanager retrospectively.
