In the crop module, you will register all the crops on your farm. The crop module is therefore the basis of Agromanager. All data of your crops are stored under this module, and adjustments such as grubbing, etc. are recorded here by date. Once everything is correct, registration in spray records, quality, sorting, etc. can begin.
Step 1 - Register plots/greenhouses
As a first step, the plots or greenhouses must be registered in Agromanager. Depending on the type of company, you start here with plots (e.g.: pome fruit) or greenhouses (e.g.: soft fruit - strawberries).
A plot is the piece of land on which a crop is planned. Some criteria are required, of which those with * are mandatory. Not all fields are required for crop registration; if you do not fill in a required field, a red frame will appear around the text box when saving. Then you will see the details of the plot you have just created.
Tip
If you want to navigate quickly between different screens, you can use the breadcrumb (Home/Plots/Plot name) at the top of the screen.
A greenhouse is a piece of land on which a greenhouse has been placed. Here you will work with covered cultivation. By clicking on "new" in the overview screen, you can create a new greenhouse. Some criteria are the same as those for plots, but you also have an extra tab with greenhouse layout. Again, not all fields are mandatory, only those with *. If not all required fields are filled in when saving, a red frame will appear around the text box. Using the details button, you can find the entered data as well as the crops registered on it.
Step 2 - Register crops
After registering the plots and/or greenhouses, you can start registering the crops. These crops are recorded under the Crop module in the main menu. When you click on it, you will see an overview of all crops. By clicking on New crop, you can immediately add a new crop. A crop is always located on one plot and always has one crop type.
You can then draw the crop and fill in all the data. Having trouble drawing your crop? Please refer to the following article: How do I add a crop?
When you have successfully drawn a crop, you can return to the overview screen. Here you will see that the new crop has been added to the crop overview.
Step 3 - Register weather station (optional)
As a final step, you can register a weather station. This is optional, because a virtual weather station has already been created via the internet for your company. This weather station is used to collect weather data that we will later use in the spray records. This way you always know what the weather conditions were during the treatment.
Do you have your own weather station? At the moment, you can still have us add it. Soon, the option will be available for you to perform this integration yourself.
