How do I add a new harvest estimation?

Requirement

Before you can apply these steps, you must first add a crop.

Open Harvest module

On the left side of your screen, you will find the different modules. Here you will find the "Harvest" module. By clicking on it, you will get several options under this button.

Open Estimation overview

In the overview under "Harvest," you will find the "Estimation" button. By clicking on it, you will open the screen with an overview of all your estimations.

Add new estimation

At the top right of your screen, you will find the green button "New Harvest Estimation." By clicking on it, you can choose between Ton/Ha and Fruit Count. Select "Ton/Ha" for a basic entry, or "Fruit Count" if you want to enter your harvest in detail.

Ton/Ha (basic entry)

Click on "Ton/Ha".

When creating, you need to fill in the following information.

Crops

Variety: This is the variety for which you want to make a harvest estimation. After selecting a variety, tick the crops to which the data applies.

Harvest estimation data

Expected start date: Enter here when you expect to start the harvest.

Pick 1,2,3 (%): If your harvest takes place over different periods, you can enter here how many percent of your harvest will be done in pick 1, 2 and 3.

Ton/Ha: This is the expected number of tons of fruit you will harvest per hectare on the crops you have selected on the right side.

Expected storage period: This is an indicator field to specify whether fruit from the crops selected on the right side is suitable for "Short storage," "Long storage," or "No storage."

Fruit Count (detailed entry)

Click on "Fruit Count"
When creating, you need to fill in the following information.

For information about filling in "Crops" and "Harvest estimation data," please refer to the text above under Ton/Ha.

Expected fruit size
Reference weight: Enter the variety of the harvest you want to enter. A bar will then appear where you can indicate the diameter of one fruit. Based on this diameter, an average weight per fruit is estimated.
Average fruit weight (grams): If the estimated average weight does not match the actual weight of your fruit in that diameter, you can adjust it here.

Fruit Count
Average number of fruits per tree: By pressing "measure" here, you can enter how many fruits are harvested on average per tree. You can choose how many trees you want to add at once by pressing "+1 tree," "+5 trees," or "+10 trees." Adding more trees at once saves you time.
Average picking speed (fruits/hour): Here you can enter how many fruits are picked per hour. This gives you a clear overview of how long it takes to pick all the fruits.

Save Harvest Estimation

You can save the harvest estimation by clicking on the green "Save" button.
