In Agromanager, you can easily register harvested produce so that you know how much has been harvested during a specific period. Before you can create a harvest registration, you first need to have created the crops, empty packaging and the correct packaging in Agromanager:
- The crops must be registered in Agromanager.
- The empty packaging must be registered in Agromanager.
- The packaging must be registered in Agromanager.
Step 1 - Open the Harvest module
Open the Harvest module in Agromanager. The sorted/unsorted harvest registration overview will open automatically. Check the menu on the left carefully to determine whether you want to create a registration for unsorted or sorted fruit.
TIP!
Do you only see the option to register unsorted fruit, but would also like to register sorted fruit? In the menu on the left, go to Configuration -> Settings -> Harvest. Using the setting shown below, you can indicate whether you want to register only unsorted fruit, only sorted fruit or both.
Step 2 - Create a new harvest registration
Create a new harvest registration by clicking the "New Harvest Registration" button in the top-right corner.
When creating a new registration, you need to complete two steps: entering the fruit details and entering the packaging details.
Step 3 - Enter fruit details
The first step in the harvest registration is entering the fruit details. The steps for each registration type are explained below.
Unsorted Registration
- Grower: This is a fixed field and is determined by the grower/company linked to the selected crop.
- Customer: (Optional) You can enter a customer here. This can be useful, for example, when selling fruit "on the tree".
- Date: This is the picking date that will be printed on the label.
- Pick: The picking round you are currently working on. For pears, this is normally always "1". For apples, there may be a second, third, etc. picking round.
- Responsible person: (Optional) This free-text field is also printed on the label. You can use it to add a personal reference.
- Variety: The variety you are going to pick or have already picked.
- Crop: The crop from which the fruit was picked.
- Tag: (Optional) This is a list of additional criteria you have defined for your fruit (e.g. tree tops). Tags are printed on the label.
- Comments: (Optional) You can add an additional comment to this registration. This is not printed on the label.
Once you have completed the required fields, click the green "Next" button at the bottom and continue to Step 4 - Enter packaging details.
Sorted Registration
- Grower: This is a fixed field and is determined by the grower/company linked to the selected crop.
- Date: This is the picking date that will be printed on the label.
-
Size type: Indicate whether the fruit has been sorted based on Pieces or Size.
- Size: Then enter the minimum and maximum size of the sorted fruit.
- Pieces: Enter the number of pieces.
- Customer: (Optional) You can enter a customer here.
- Pick: The picking round you are currently working on. For pears, this is normally always "1". For apples, there may be a second, third, etc. picking round.
- Category: Select the category or class to which the harvested product belongs. The required categories can be defined via Configuration -> Categories.
- Variety: The variety you are going to pick or have already picked.
- Crop: The crop from which the fruit was picked.
- Comments: (Optional) You can add an additional comment to this registration. This is not printed on the label.
Once you have completed the required fields, click the green "Next" button at the bottom and continue to Step 4 - Enter packaging details.
IMPORTANT!
If you enter both a Tag and a Responsible person, the Tag will NOT be printed on the label due to the limited space available. If you want to register both a Responsible person and a Tag, enter both under Responsible person.
TIP!
The option to register the picking round in the harvest registration is a setting. If this is not relevant to you, you can disable it. Go to Configuration -> Settings -> Harvest in the menu on the left. You can then set "Harvest registration: Pick can be entered during registration" to YES = ON or NO = OFF. You can also use the setting "Harvest registration: Number of picks" to determine the maximum number of picking rounds.
Step 4 - Enter packaging details
Enter the details of the packaging in which the fruit was harvested. Make sure that the correct packaging has already been created.
Type: Select the type of packaging in which the fruit was picked. You can choose between Storage Bin or Colli/Pallet.
Depending on your choice, enter the following parameters:
Storage Bin
- Packaging name: Select the correct packaging in which the fruit was harvested.
- Number of storage bins: Enter the number of storage bins used. This number also determines the number of fruit codes that will be created.
- Fruit weight (kg): Enter the fruit weight per storage bin. You can indicate whether this is an approximate or exact weight.
Once you have completed the required fields, click the green "Next" button at the bottom and continue to Step 5 - Complete the harvest registration.
Colli/Pallet
- Packaging name: Select the correct packaging in which the fruit was harvested.
- Quantity: Choose whether you want to register the number of pallets or the number of colli and enter the corresponding quantity. This quantity also determines the number of fruit codes that will be created.
- #Colli/Pallet: Enter the number of colli on one pallet.
- Fruit weight (kg): Enter the fruit weight per colli. You can indicate whether this is an approximate or exact weight.
- Pallet: Select the type of pallet that was used.
Once you have completed the required fields, click the green "Next" button at the bottom and continue to Step 5 - Complete the harvest registration.
Step 5 - Complete the harvest registration
In this final step, you choose how you want to save the registration.
Label Layout: Here you can choose whether you want to print a full label or no label.
Next, select the required activation method. This determines how the created fruit codes are activated in the system:
- Direct: The fruit codes are activated immediately. Use this method if you know exactly how many bins have been harvested. The fruit codes are immediately added to your stock and harvest report. This is the most commonly used option. Unused codes must be deleted one by one.
- Later: The codes are activated at a later time. You register an expected number of harvested bins. Keep the labels that are not used so that you can later activate only the number that were actually used. You can do this from the details of your harvest registration using the buttons "Activate codes" or "Delete inactive codes" at the bottom. Unused codes can be deleted in bulk.
- Scan: The codes only become active and are added to stock when they are used somewhere via the scanner or computer. This means, for example, that a code is scanned during a picking performance registration, placed in a cold store or added to a delivery note. If you throw away unused codes, you do not need to do anything else. You can also activate the codes manually. To do this, open the registration details. At the bottom, you will find an "Activate codes" button. In the pop-up, you can indicate how many codes you want to activate.
Once you have selected the required method, click the green "Done" button in the bottom-right corner to save the harvest registration.
IMPORTANT!
Do you work with picking performance? Always select the Scan option to complete the fruit registration.
Step 6 - Print the harvest registration
If you selected Full for the label layout, a new tab will open with a print job. Select the correct label printer and print the created labels. If you decide not to print the labels, click the Cancel button in the pop-up. If you do not receive a pop-up to print the labels, please refer to "Are pop-ups being blocked?" at the bottom of this page.
Print a specific fruit code (again)
If you only want to print a specific code, first click "Details" next to the required code and then click "Print" in the top-right corner. If your codes were not displayed automatically and you want to print them again, you can use the "Print" button to print them again.
IMPORTANT!
By default, the setting that allows labels to be reprinted is disabled. You will receive a notification asking you to duplicate the registration. You can do this if you have used the Later or Scan activation method and there are no active codes yet. The codes are only added to your stock after activation. If you use the "Direct" activation method, this is not possible. You first need to change a setting to allow a second print. Go to Configuration -> Settings -> Harvest and set "Harvest registration: duplicate load from 2nd print" to No.
Are pop-ups being blocked?
You click "Done" when creating a harvest registration, but the print job containing the fruit codes does not appear.
Check the top-right corner of your screen to see whether the following icon is displayed:
If so, pop-ups are being blocked.
To make the registration process run as smoothly as possible, it is useful to allow pop-ups.
This allows Agromanager to display the barcodes automatically.
Click the icon and then select "Always allow pop-ups and redirects from https://....agromanger.eu".
Finally, click "Done".
The barcodes for your next registration should now appear automatically.
